This recipe makes a refreshing morning drink to kick start your day in the best way possible. We have a basic recipe and then we have the super charged version which gives you the opportunity to really add value while maintaining the same refreshing flavour.
Coconut Kefir Lemonade - Basic Recipe
½ cup of Coconut Kefir
½ cup of Sparkling mineral water
Juice of ½ - 1 lemon
6 drops of Stevia
Add all ingredients to a glass and stir gently and drink.

Super Charged version (Any or all of these ingredients are optional)
I love to use the Basic recipe as a tasty way of ‘taking my medicine’, so to speak. I can add all of the supplements below and the drink still tastes delicious.
- 2 drops of Detoxadine by Global Healing – for Thyroid and Adrenal health
- Ancient Earth Liquid Minerals by Body Ecology (remembering that there is a mineral deficiency underlying all degenerative disease)
- 2 dropper full’s of Livatrex by Global Healing – great daily liver detox supplement
- ½ teaspoon of Super Spirulina by Body Ecology – alkaline, plant based, fermented protein.
When making up the drink from scratch, I put the ½ a cup of coconut kefir into the glass first and then start adding the nutrients. Add the lemon juice and stevia and top up with the sparkling mineral water. This will quickly become a favourite.
Night time addition ...chia seeds for blood sugar regulation.
If you have been experiencing adrenal exhaustion and find yourself waking up in the middle of the night with your mind racing, going over the day’s events and making it difficult to get back to sleep, the chances are that your blood sugar levels are dropping during the night.
Hint: Try adding a teaspoon or two of organic Chia seeds to this drink and stirring now and then for 10 minutes while the chia seeds swell up with the drink. Drink this mixture down, chewing on the chia seeds and you will find that they will keep your blood sugar level even all night and you will have a restful sleep, waking up hydrated and on a more even keel than in the past.
